In 2023/2024, Lisa McArthur-Edwards was awarded a textiles and weaving grant supported by Central Coast Council and auspiced by Gosford Regional Community Services. Running from February to September 2024 across multiple Central Coast venues, the free program invited women 18+ to explore creativity, develop new skills, support mental wellbeing, and build community connections.
The project culminated in a vibrant exhibition at Gosford Regional Gallery’s Community Gallery in October 2024, celebrating the journey through shared learnings, group creations, and personal works by participants and facilitators. The program’s success highlighted the power of art to weave people and stories together.
