Had a fabulous workshop on the weekend teaching coiled basketry with a lovely group of ladies at Forest of Tranquility in Ourimbah. Some of the end results.
Today we had the first Basketry CC meet up at Kariong Eco Garden. Just an informal meet so we can weave together, chat, share tips and harvests and be sociable. This is the sculptural form I am working on at the moment made from vine and kikuyu grass that are harvested from my property.
Am making some if what slow progress on my colograph for the indigo exhibition. The one print I am submitting into the exhibition is made up of at least 4 plates printed one after the other building up the image in larges. This is plate 1 a long way to go yet!
Industry rejects. But perfect for me. I get perfect leaves delivered that have been rejected because of the smallest marks, so I also get to recycle waste too. Win win.
I am a wife, a mother and an artist living on the Central Coast.
